Blockbench - A boxy 3D model editor

Blockbench is a 3D editor for low-polygon models, built around boxes rather than sculpted surfaces. A model is assembled from cuboids that you position, rotate and resize either by dragging or by typing exact numbers, grouped into a tree that doubles as the bone hierarchy for animation. A separate mesh mode allows free vertex and face editing when boxes are not enough.
Texturing happens in the same window. The UV editor maps each face of a box onto a region of the texture, and the texture can be painted directly on the model or on the flat sheet with brush, fill and eraser tools. An animation timeline records keyframes for the position, rotation and scale of each group, plays them back, and holds several animations in one file.
The editor is widely used for Minecraft work and ships formats for Java and Bedrock block, item and entity models, including the display transform settings those models use. It also serves general low-poly modelling and exports to formats such as OBJ and glTF. Blockbench runs as a desktop application and in a browser, and a plugin system adds more formats.
