About this application

AntiMicroX makes a gamepad behave like a keyboard and mouse. Buttons, triggers, D-pad directions and both stick axes can each be bound to a key, a mouse button, or pointer and scroll movement, so a controller can drive programs that were never written to accept one: emulators, media players, or a whole desktop session.

Bindings live in profiles, typically one per game, and a profile can be brought up automatically when its window becomes active. Inside a profile, sets hold alternative layouts and a chosen control switches between them, which is how one pad covers more actions than it has buttons. A single assignment can also hold a macro: a recorded sequence of keystrokes with pauses between them. Stick axes have adjustable dead zones and sensitivity, and several controllers can be configured at once.

The interface shows the controller as a diagram: you pick a control on it and choose what it should send. The program continues the discontinued AntiMicro project. One limitation to check first: generated input goes through the X11 layer, so a Wayland session may not receive it.
