FreeSoft Hub has no user accounts, no advertising network and no tracking cookies. This page describes the little data we do process, why, and for how long.
1. The short version
- We set no tracking cookies and run no advertising or profiling scripts.
- We never store a raw IP address. An address is turned into a salted hash the moment a request arrives, and the salt is rotated every 24 hours, after which the hash can no longer be linked back to an address.
- We do not sell personal data, do not share it with data brokers, and do not use it to build profiles.
- We have no user accounts, so we hold no names, no passwords and no payment details.
2. What we process, and why
- Server logs. For each request: the salted IP hash described above, the requested path, the HTTP status, the response time, the user agent and the referrer. Purpose: keeping the service running, spotting outages, and detecting abusive request patterns. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site.
- Language preference. If you switch language, that choice is stored in a cookie so the site remembers it. Purpose: making the site work as you asked it to.
- Aggregate usage statistics. Page-view counts, produced without cookies and without device fingerprinting. The output is a count per page per day; it contains nothing that identifies a visitor.
- Messages you send us. If you write to us about a correction, a complaint or a takedown, we keep your message and our reply for as long as needed to handle it and to show that we handled it.
3. Cookies
This site uses functional cookies only. There is no advertising cookie, no analytics cookie and no third-party cookie. Because none of the cookies we set are used for tracking, no consent banner is required.
- Language cookie — remembers the language you chose so that the bare “/” address sends you to the right place. Lifetime: up to one year.
- Theme cookie — remembers whether you asked for the light or dark appearance. Lifetime: up to one year.
4. What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, under any conditions.
- We do not embed advertising networks, social widgets or third-party tag managers.
- We do not fingerprint devices, and we do not attempt to identify visitors across sessions.
- We do not track which download links you follow in a way that could be linked back to you.
5. How long we keep things
- Server logs: 30 days, then deleted. The salt used to hash IP addresses is discarded after 24 hours, so older log lines are irreversibly anonymous well before deletion.
- Aggregate page-view counts: kept indefinitely, because they contain no personal data.
- Correspondence: kept for as long as the matter is open, and afterwards for the period required to demonstrate that a complaint was handled correctly.
6. Processors and where the data is held
The site and its database run on infrastructure located in [CẦN ĐIỀN: quốc gia/khu vực đặt máy chủ và nhà cung cấp hạ tầng]. We do not transfer personal data to processors outside that infrastructure for analytics, advertising or profiling purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing, to restrict it, or to complain to a supervisory authority.
In practice we hold very little that can be traced to an individual: once the daily salt is rotated, log entries can no longer be linked to you. Write to [CẦN ĐIỀN: địa chỉ email phụ trách dữ liệu cá nhân] and we will reply within thirty days.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Since there are no accounts, we ask for no age, no name and no contact details.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it, and a summary of what changed stays here for at least thirty days.
10. Contact
