About this application

Captive Portal Controller is an Android utility for changing how the system checks for captive portals. Android normally performs connectivity tests to decide whether a network has full internet access or requires a login page. This app gives the user a way to control that detection behavior from a dedicated interface instead of relying only on the default system configuration.

The tool is relevant for users who need to adjust captive portal checks on particular networks, such as managed Wi-Fi, restricted access points, or environments where the default detection endpoint is not appropriate. It does not provide a captive portal itself and does not manage router login pages; its purpose is to configure the Android-side detection mechanism. The application is limited to Android.
