Go2TV, by Alexandros Ballas, casts media files to Smart TVs and Chromecast devices. The user picks a file held on the computer and selects a receiver reachable on the same network; the television or dongle carries out playback while the computer acts as the source of the stream.
The build catalogued here runs on Linux only, which places it in the hands of desktop Linux users who want to watch files they already have on a larger screen.
