Automation is an Android application built around user-defined rules that make the device react to its own state. Each rule pairs conditions with actions, so a change of circumstance on the phone can lead to settings being altered or tasks being carried out without manual intervention. Rules are assembled in the app itself, which makes it a general-purpose tool rather than one tied to a single setting or scenario.
This rule-based approach means the usefulness of the app depends largely on how it is configured: an empty install does nothing until rules are written, and the range of what can be triggered or changed follows what Android permits an app to observe and control. Published by Jens Schröder under GPL-3.0-or-later, the project can be redistributed and modified under that license or any later version of it. The build is for Android only.
