Aspectos destacados
- C# scripts attach to scene nodes and call the engine API through the bundled .NET module.
- External .NET assemblies can be referenced via the generated project solution.
- The editor provides distinct 2D and 3D workflows within one scene tree model.
- Animation, physics, navigation, audio and UI are edited in docked panels.
- Export to supported target platforms is driven from the editor.
Acerca de esta aplicación
Godot Engine (C#/.NET) is the current release line of the Godot game engine, built with the .NET module so that C# is available as a scripting language next to GDScript. The editor covers the whole project: a node-based scene tree, a 2D canvas for sprites and tilemaps, a 3D viewport with meshes, materials, lights and cameras, and docked panels for animation tracks, physics bodies, navigation, audio buses and interface layout. The same editor handles export to the supported target platforms.
Because this variant carries the .NET runtime, C# scripts attach to nodes directly and can call the engine API, while external assemblies can be referenced through the project's solution file. Projects that only need GDScript can use the standard build instead; the .NET edition is chosen when C# or existing .NET libraries are part of the plan. The package here runs on Linux.
Development is carried out by The Godot Engine Community and the engine is released under the MIT license, applying to the editor and to work created with it.
