Über diese Anwendung

Pinta is a bitmap image editor for straightforward tasks: cropping a screenshot, retouching part of a photo, drawing a simple diagram or annotating a picture. Its layout follows Paint.NET — a single window with a tool palette, a layer list and a history pane that records every step, so an earlier state comes back by clicking it.

The toolset covers selection by rectangle, ellipse, lasso and magic wand, freehand and shape drawing, text, gradients, a clone stamp and a paint bucket. Layers can be reordered, hidden, given an opacity and combined with blend modes. Adjustments handle brightness, contrast, curves, levels, hue and saturation, and the effects set provides blurs, sharpening, distortions and noise. Add-ins extend the effect list.

It is written in C# on GTK and runs on Linux, Windows and macOS. Pinta does not attempt the depth of a full photo editor: there are no adjustment layers, no masks and no CMYK output.
