关于此应用
gitIgnore is a reference tool for .gitignore files. It gathers the ignore patterns associated with a range of programming languages and toolchains, so that a developer starting a repository can look up which build outputs, dependency directories, cache files and editor leftovers are normally excluded from version control for that ecosystem, rather than recalling them from memory or copying an old file from another project.
The application is organised around language entries: the reader selects the language or environment they are working in and consults the corresponding set of patterns. Its scope is documentation and lookup rather than repository management, so it does not replace a Git client or perform commits; the patterns still have to be placed in the project by the user.
The entry lists Linux as the supported platform, so users of other desktop operating systems will need a different tool or the upstream sources. gitIgnore is published by Shubham Arora under the GPL-3.0 licence.
