Melodeon

Melodeon is a targeted desktop utility designed specifically to interface with Lyrion Music Server deployments. Built as a lightweight wrapper around the QWebEngine framework, it renders the MaterialSkin web interface inside a dedicated application window on Linux systems. Rather than operating as an independent audio player or library manager, the software bridges the local desktop environment with an existing server installation through a browser-based presentation layer.

The application relies on web technologies to display controls, playlists, and media collections served directly from the network backend. Its primary function is to eliminate the need for a separate web browser tab when interacting with remote or local music servers. Users interact with standard playback controls, volume adjustments, and navigation menus rendered via the embedded rendering engine. The implementation is restricted to Linux operating systems and assumes continuous network connectivity to a functioning Lyrion Music Server instance.
