Send and receive email
Часть этой страницы показана на языке оригинала, потому что перевод не закончен.
Geary is a mail client for the GNOME desktop with a deliberately small scope: it reads and sends email and does nothing else. There is no calendar, no address book manager and no news reader.
Mail is presented as conversations. A thread collapses into one entry in the list, and opening it stacks the messages in order so the exchange reads top to bottom, with quoted text hidden until asked for. Composing happens in a window with a formatting toolbar, and drafts are stored on the server. Search covers the account and offers operators to narrow by sender, recipient or attachment.
Accounts connect over IMAP and SMTP; POP is not supported. Setup for common providers is preconfigured, so an address plus a password is often the whole of it, and accounts already registered in GNOME Online Accounts are picked up. Messages are cached locally for offline reading. Geary is written in Vala with a GTK interface and is packaged for Linux.
