Awake on LAN

Awake on LAN is a Linux-based utility that enables the remote activation of computers over a local network. It functions by sending a Magic Packet to the network interface card of a target machine, provided that the target hardware and its BIOS or UEFI settings are configured to support Wake-on-LAN functionality. The application serves as a bridge to initiate the power-on sequence for devices that are currently in a standby or powered-off state.

The tool requires the user to provide the MAC address of the target device to establish the connection. It operates primarily within the local network environment, as the transmission of the wake-up signal relies on broadcast packets. The interface allows for the management of multiple target devices, enabling users to maintain a list of machines and trigger their startup individually as needed.
