Ntfy Desktop is a client application for Linux designed to receive and display push notifications sent through the ntfy messaging system. It connects to configured notification topics and presents incoming alerts directly on the desktop environment, allowing users to monitor remote events without keeping a web browser open.
The software operates in the background, listening for HTTP-based messages from self-hosted or public ntfy servers. When a new message arrives, the program triggers native desktop notification popups to alert the user of system events, script completions, or other subscribed updates.
