Giới thiệu ứng dụng
Hardware Probe is a diagnostic utility for Linux systems that examines the hardware present in a machine and reports whether the components appear to be operable. Rather than measuring performance, it addresses the question of support: which devices the running system detects, and which drivers are associated with them. The result is a description of the machine's components together with driver information, which can be consulted when tracking down a device that is present but not working as expected.
The tool is published by the Linux Hardware Project and distributed under the BSD-2-Clause license. It targets Linux only, so it is not applicable to inspecting a Windows or macOS installation, and its findings describe the state of the system it was run on rather than the hardware in the abstract.
Typical uses include documenting the components of a machine before or after installing a distribution, and looking for driver information for a component that the kernel has enumerated but is not driving.
