CastLab is an Android application for sending media from a phone or tablet to playback devices that support DLNA, UPnP, or FCast. It is meant for local media casting workflows, where the Android device acts as the source and a compatible receiver handles playback on a television, speaker, media box, or similar device.
The program is focused on device-to-device media casting rather than media library management or streaming service aggregation. Its usefulness depends on the presence of DLNA/UPnP or FCast receivers on the user’s network or setup. CastLab is published by Thomas and is licensed under GPL-3.0-only.
