About this application

Convert Pro is a Windows desktop converter that lives in the Explorer context menu: select one file or a hundred, choose a target format from the right-click menu, and conversion starts without opening a separate window first. Files can also be dropped straight onto the application window.

The format families it covers are audio (mp3, aac, flac, opus, wav and more), video (mp4, mkv, webm, mov, gif), images (png, jpg, webp, avif, svg, tiff) and documents (pdf, docx, xlsx, html, csv, markdown), with per-format controls for bitrate, resolution and quality, and presets that store a combination you reuse.

The conversion work is done by bundled open-source engines — FFmpeg for audio and video, ImageMagick for images, Ghostscript for PDF. The application itself is WPF on .NET 8 and follows the Windows light or dark theme. It is a derivative of the open-source File Converter project by Adrien Allard and carries the same GPL licence. Daily conversion count, maximum file size and batch size differ between the free and paid tiers.
