About this application
Video Downloader is a Linux application for saving web videos to local storage. The user supplies a video address, and the program handles the download process through a graphical interface. Its purpose is limited and direct: it provides a desktop front end for retrieving videos from supported web sources without requiring the user to run commands manually.
The application is suited to cases where a person wants an offline copy of a video for later viewing or archiving within the limits of the source and applicable permissions. It is not presented as a video editor or media library manager. Its scope is the entry of web video links, selection of available download options where provided, and storage of the resulting file on a Linux system.
