About this application

TigerVNC Viewer is a Linux client for connecting to a VNC server and displaying a remote desktop session. It is used when a computer or virtual machine exposes its graphical desktop through the VNC protocol, allowing the user to view and interact with that desktop from another Linux system.

The program serves the viewer side of a VNC setup. It does not provide the remote desktop by itself; a reachable VNC server must already be running on the target machine. Within that role, it gives users a window onto the remote screen for administration, support, or everyday access to another graphical environment.
