About this application

LibrePCB is an electronic design automation application for creating circuit schematics and printed circuit board layouts. It provides a workspace for placing components, drawing electrical connections, assigning footprints, and arranging board geometry for a PCB project. The application is intended for Linux systems and is published by The LibrePCB Developers under the GPL-3.0-or-later license.

The program covers both the logical and physical stages of a board design. A user can describe a circuit in a schematic, connect it to a board layout, and work with parts and libraries as project data. Its scope is focused on PCB design tasks rather than general drawing or mechanical CAD work.
