Krop is a graphical utility designed for cropping the pages of PDF files, operating primarily within Linux environments. The application displays document pages visually, allowing users to define bounding boxes that determine the visible area for each page or groups of pages. This process helps adjust margins, remove unwanted headers or footers, and format documents for smaller screens or specific printing layouts.

Beyond manual cropping boundaries, the tool includes features to automatically detect and split pages that contain multiple logical sections, such as scanned book layouts or multi-column documents. The resulting modifications are saved into a new PDF file without altering the original document.
