BatteryTemperatureDisplay

BatteryTemperatureDisplay is an Android app by Eugen Barilyuk EB43 that reads the battery temperature and shows it to the user. Alongside the live reading it records values over time, so temperature can be reviewed as a series rather than as a single moment. That logging is what distinguishes it from a plain readout: patterns such as heat building during charging or under sustained load only become visible across a stretch of recorded data.

The publisher frames the purpose as watching for overheating and the physical damage and hazards that can follow from it. The app reports and records; acting on what it reports, such as unplugging a charger or easing off a heavy workload, stays with the user.

The code is available under GPL-3.0-only, so the source can be inspected and modified with derivative works held to the same copyleft terms. Android is the only platform listed, and the scope is narrow by design: temperature, not general battery or system management.
