About this application

Battery Tool | Hibernate Unused Apps addresses applications that keep running in the background on Android after the user has finished with them. It stops such applications automatically, so background activity does not continue unattended and the user does not have to close each one by hand.

The word hibernate in the name describes the intended result: applications that are not in use are put out of action until they are opened again. This makes the application a management tool rather than a reporting one, and its usefulness depends on which processes a given device and Android version allow an application to stop. Newer Android releases restrict background management, so results vary between devices.

It runs on Android only, carries no advertising, and is distributed at no cost. The source is published by Dominik under the GPL-3.0-only licence.
