About this application
Barcode Buddy is an Android companion app for a Barcode Buddy installation, the self-hosted tool that turns scanned product codes into inventory actions. The phone takes the role of the scanner: the camera reads a barcode and the result is handed to the server that holds the actual stock records, rather than being kept on the handset.
Because it is a client, the app is not usable on its own. A reachable Barcode Buddy instance is a prerequisite, and the scan modes and item handling available follow whatever that instance supports. The app is distributed under GPL-3.0-only, so modified redistributions carry the same license.
The directory lists an Android build and records no publisher name. Compatible server versions, how the connection is configured, and what happens to scans taken while offline are not part of this entry; those belong to the project's own documentation.
