BaldPhone

BaldPhone replaces the standard Android interface with one built around large targets and reduced visual complexity. Instead of modifying the operating system, it sits on top of it as an alternative front end, so the everyday screens a person interacts with are presented at a much bigger scale and with fewer competing elements than a stock launcher offers.

The intended audience is anyone who finds a conventional smartphone interface hard to read or hard to hit accurately: older users, people with reduced vision or motor precision, and anyone setting up a phone on someone else's behalf. Because it is an interface layer rather than a stripped-down system, the underlying device and its installed apps remain in place.

BaldPhone is published by Uriah Shaul Mandel under the Apache-2.0 license, a permissive license that allows redistribution and modification. It is listed for Android only, so there is no equivalent for other mobile platforms.
