Bacon - Bluetooth Controller

Bacon is an Android application that acts as a controller for devices communicating over Bluetooth Low Energy. Instead of shipping a fixed interface tied to one product, it lets the user assemble the control surface themselves, so the same app can drive a hobby robot, a lighting strip, or a microcontroller project depending on how it is configured.

The controller layout and the data it sends are defined by the user rather than by the app author. That makes it useful during prototyping, when the firmware on the other end is still changing and the commands it expects are not yet settled. It is published by Jerameel Delos Reyes under the MIT license.

Bacon is available for Android only, and it depends on the phone or tablet supporting Bluetooth Low Energy. Devices that expose a serial or proprietary Bluetooth profile rather than BLE fall outside what this app addresses.
