About this application
Auto Auto-Rotate is an Android utility that ties the system auto-rotate switch to whichever application is in the foreground. It records the rotation preference chosen while an app is open, then restores that preference the next time the same app is used and applies the setting again when a different app takes over. The result is a per-application rotation policy built on top of the single global toggle that Android exposes.
The typical use is a mix of apps with conflicting needs: a video player or gallery left free to rotate, a reading or chat app pinned to portrait. Rather than reaching for the quick settings tile each time, the switch is flipped once per app and remembered from then on. The application is published by juanitobananas under the GPL-3.0-only licence and runs on Android only. Because it changes a system setting and needs to know which app is in front, it relies on permissions granted outside the normal install flow.
