Aurora Store

Aurora Store is an unofficial client for Google Play, built for Android and distributed under GPL-3.0-or-later by Rahul Kumar Patel. It gives you a separate front end for browsing, installing and updating applications that are published on Google's store, without relying on the vendor's own client. The interface is organised around search, app detail pages and an update list, so the daily routine of checking for new versions stays close to what most Android users already expect.

The project's stated focus is privacy. Because it is an independent client rather than a store of its own, it does not host any packages: it fetches whatever Google Play serves, which means catalogue coverage and availability follow Google's rules, not the app's. Being an unofficial client also means behaviour can change when the upstream service changes, and account-based access to paid or restricted titles depends on what Google permits at the time.

Aurora Store runs on Android only, and installing packages through it follows the platform's normal permission prompts for installing from an outside source.
