About this application
AURdroid is an Android client for browsing the Arch User Repository, the community-maintained collection of package build recipes for Arch Linux. It gives a mobile interface for looking up AUR packages and reading their metadata away from a desktop machine, which is useful when checking whether a package exists or what state it is in without opening a terminal.
The application is a browser rather than a package manager: it reads information from the AUR and presents it on the phone, but it does not build packages or install anything onto an Arch system. Anyone wanting to actually compile and install a package still does that on the Arch machine itself.
The app runs only on Android. It is published by rascarlo under the GPL-3.0-only license. Its usefulness is tied directly to the Arch ecosystem, so it has little application for users of other Linux distributions.
