About this application

AuraOrbit is a live wallpaper for Android that renders the home screen background as a three-dimensional sphere. Instead of a static image, the wallpaper places items across the surface of the sphere using a Fibonacci distribution, the spiral arrangement that spaces points evenly over a spherical surface rather than clustering them near the poles. The result is a layout where app entries sit at roughly equal distances from one another as the sphere turns.

The wallpaper responds to input rather than only animating on its own, so the sphere can be rotated and explored from the home screen. Because it is implemented as an Android live wallpaper service, it runs inside the launcher's background layer and depends on the launcher and system supporting live wallpapers.

Distribution is limited to Android; there are no desktop or other mobile builds. The project is published by Jaimin Detroja under the GPL-3.0-only license, so the source can be studied and modified under the terms of that license.
