Audio Notes

Audio Notes is an Android application for recording spoken notes. Instead of typing, the user starts a recording, speaks, and stops; the result is kept as an audio item that can be played back later. This suits situations where writing is impractical — a thought while walking, a meeting detail, a shopping list dictated on the way out the door.

The scope is deliberately narrow. The app deals with capture and playback of voice recordings rather than acting as a full note-taking system with text, checklists or synchronisation. Readers looking for a general notes application with an audio attachment feature will find a different shape of tool here: audio is the primary content, not an add-on.

Samson Achiaga publishes it under the Apache-2.0 licence, which permits reuse and modification, including in derivative works, with attribution and notice requirements. As an Android-only release, recordings live on the phone or tablet where they were made unless the user moves the files elsewhere themselves.
