About this application
Assistral wraps the Mistral Le Chat web interface in an Android WebView, giving the service an app icon and its own window rather than a browser tab. The chat itself is still the vendor's web page; the app supplies the container around it, along with URL blocking so that requests to addresses outside the expected set are not loaded.
The privacy-oriented behaviour is the reason the wrapper exists: by filtering which URLs the WebView is allowed to fetch, it narrows what the embedded page can reach. Anyone deciding whether this fits their needs should note that the underlying service remains a hosted, remote one, so the app changes how the page is loaded, not where the conversation is processed.
It is an Android-only application, published by shano under the GPL-3.0-only licence. Since it depends on the remote interface, changes to that interface can affect how the wrapper behaves.
