ArtNet Receiver

ArtNet Receiver is an Android tool for watching Art-Net traffic on whatever local network the phone or tablet has joined. Art-Net carries DMX512 lighting control data over UDP, so the packets crossing a venue network describe channel values headed for fixtures, dimmers, and media servers. Instead of sending that data, this app sits at the receiving end and reports what arrives.

That places it in the diagnostic category. When a console, a node, or a software lighting desk appears to be sending nothing, a passive listener on the same subnet helps establish whether the packets exist at all and what they contain. Platform support covers Android only, so it works as a handheld companion beside a rig rather than a monitor running on the control machine. Niklas Köppel releases it under GPL-3.0-or-later, permitting reuse under that version of the licence or any newer one.
