About this application
AntennaPod is a podcast manager and player for Android. It handles the two halves of podcast listening in one app: keeping track of subscriptions and the episodes they publish, and playing the audio itself. Subscriptions are built on podcast feeds, so any show that publishes a feed can be added, and the app fetches new episodes as the feed updates rather than routing listening through a single catalogue provider.
Around playback, it maintains a queue and a download list, letting episodes be stored on the device for listening without a connection and removed afterwards. Playback controls cover the usual podcast-specific needs, such as adjusting speed and skipping forward or back through spoken content. Subscription lists can be moved in and out of the app using OPML, which is the common interchange format between podcast clients, so switching apps does not mean re-adding shows by hand.
The app targets Android only; there is no desktop or iOS version in this listing. It is licensed GPL-3.0-only, meaning derivative works must remain under the same license.
