Launch apps on boot and fastboot on Phoenix Android (and similar) radios
Alt Launcher is a small Android utility that starts a chosen application automatically once the device has finished coming up. It covers two separate cases named by the project: an ordinary boot, and the fastboot path used by some head units. In both situations it runs early enough to bring another program to the foreground without the user tapping anything.
The intended hardware is Phoenix Android radios and units built along similar lines, which is a narrow target: aftermarket car head units rather than phones or tablets. The project description does not promise particular behaviour on unrelated Android devices, so anyone outside that hardware family should treat compatibility as an open question.
Distribution is for Android alone, published by Tablet Radio under the Apache-2.0 licence, which permits modification and redistribution, including in closed-source derivatives, provided attribution and the licence notice are kept.
