Manage Bluetooth functions
A2DP Volume is an Android application for managing Bluetooth behaviour on a per-device basis. Its subject is the A2DP profile, the Bluetooth profile used for streaming audio to headsets, speakers, and car stereos. The app addresses the situation where a phone connects to several different Bluetooth audio devices and each one calls for different handling.
The application allows Bluetooth-related functions to be arranged so that connecting to a particular device brings about the settings appropriate to it, rather than requiring the same adjustments to be made by hand each time a connection is established. This makes it relevant to users who move between a car stereo, a home speaker, and a headset over the course of a day.
A2DP Volume is available for Android only and is released under the GPL-3.0-only licence, so its source code is available under those terms. Its usefulness depends on the Bluetooth devices actually in use, and on what the Android version on the handset permits an application to control.
