À propos de cette application

FileZilla is a file transfer client speaking FTP, FTPS and SFTP. The main window is split between the local file system and the remote server, and files move between them by dragging or through a transfer queue that runs several transfers at once and resumes interrupted ones where the server allows it.

Connection details live in a Site Manager, organised into folders. Each entry holds the host, protocol, credentials, the remote and local starting directories and character-set settings, and bookmarks can pin particular directory pairs inside a site. Tabs keep several sessions open at the same time.

The rest of the program covers the routine work of maintaining a remote directory. Directory comparison marks files that differ between the two panes; synchronised browsing keeps both sides on matching paths as you navigate; filename filters hide or exclude files by pattern; and remote file search walks the server looking for matches. Transfer rate limits and the number of simultaneous connections are configurable, and file permissions can be changed on servers that support it.
