AwakeOnLANMobile is an Android application for sending Wake-on-LAN magic packets to machines that support the protocol. It handles both IPv4 and IPv6 targets, and is built to send packets across the internet rather than only within the local subnet, which makes it usable for waking a desktop or server at home from an outside network, provided the intervening routers and firewalls are configured to forward the packets.
The app also bundles a CIDR scanner, so a range of addresses can be swept to locate candidate hosts instead of entering each address by hand. Typical use involves recording a target's MAC address alongside its address or hostname, then triggering the packet on demand from the phone.
