Lightweight audio player

Audacious plays audio files and manages playlists with a deliberately small footprint. It descends from the XMMS line of players and keeps two interfaces: a windowed layout with a playlist pane, and a compact skinned interface that loads Winamp-style skin archives for anyone who wants that look. Builds exist against both the Qt and GTK toolkits.
Format support, output, effects and visualisation all arrive as plugins, which is how the core stays small. Decoders cover the common lossy and lossless formats along with tracker modules and chiptune formats; output plugins target ALSA, PulseAudio, JACK and writing to a file. Effect plugins include an equaliser, crossfading, silence removal and volume levelling. Playlists can be saved, searched and shuffled, and the library keeps track of folders added to it.
The player also handles internet radio streams and reads and writes tags on the files it plays. Configuration is exposed per plugin rather than gathered into one preferences dialog covering everything.
