Advanced PortChecker is a network diagnostic utility that tests whether TCP ports on a given host accept connections. The user supplies a target address and a port or range of ports, and the application attempts a connection to each one in turn, reporting which respond and which do not. The result is a list of open and closed ports for the host that was queried.
The tool works at the level of individual TCP connections, so it answers a narrow question: is something listening on this port, as seen from this device and this network. It does not identify the service behind an open port, nor does it probe UDP. Results depend on the path between the phone and the target, so a firewall or carrier restriction along the way will affect what the scan reports.
The application is published by CodeDead under the GPL-3.0-only licence and is distributed for Android only; there is no build for desktop or other mobile platforms.
