Tentang aplikasi ini
HashVerifier computes checksums for files on disk and compares the result against a reference digest supplied by the user. The common use is taking a hash string published next to a file, pointing the tool at the local copy, and reading whether the two strings match character for character. The output is a comparison result about two strings, nothing more.
The workflow is short: choose a file, let the digest be calculated, then type or paste the expected value. Because different algorithms produce different digests for the same bytes, the reference string has to originate from the same algorithm used for the calculation, or the comparison will never agree. A mismatch tells you the local bytes differ from the ones the reference digest was made from, but not why they differ.
Packages are listed for Linux only, so users of other operating systems need a different utility. The code is released under the MIT license by Ostap Konstantinov, and the scope stays narrow: digest generation and comparison, without download management, archive handling, or file repair.
