Conexão de dados por tunelamento DNS

AndIodine is an Android application that routes data traffic through DNS tunneling. It works by encoding arbitrary data inside DNS query and response packets, allowing a device to maintain a network connection in environments where standard TCP/IP traffic is blocked but DNS lookups are permitted — such as captive portals at hotels, airports, or public Wi-Fi hotspots.
The app acts as a client for an iodine-compatible server, which must be set up separately on a remote host with a registered domain. Once connected, the device receives a virtual IP address and can tunnel IP traffic through the DNS channel. Because DNS is not designed for bulk data transfer, throughput is limited and latency is noticeably higher than a direct connection. The approach is functional for light tasks but not suited for high-bandwidth use.
