Acerca de esta aplicación

EasyTAG edits the metadata stored inside audio files: title, artist, album, track number, year, genre, comment and cover art. The window is split between a directory tree on one side and the files of the selected folder on the other, so a whole album is worked through in one pass rather than file by file.

What it saves is mostly repetitive work. A field can be filled across every selected file at once, track numbers applied down a list, tags generated from file names using a mask, and file names generated back from the tags. A CDDB lookup fetches a track listing for a ripped disc. Changes are staged first and written to disk only when you confirm them.

It reads and writes ID3 tags in MPEG files, Vorbis comments in Ogg and FLAC, and the tag formats of several other containers. EasyTAG is a GTK application for Linux; the project has been quiet for a long time, so the interface follows an older GNOME style rather than the current one.
