Anx Reader

Anx Reader is an e-book reading application for Android, published by Anxcye. It occupies the space between a file viewer and a personal library: books are added to the device, listed in a shelf-style overview, and opened in a full-screen reading view where the text takes up the page rather than the interface. The stated intent of the project is reading as an activity in itself, so the design leans toward a quiet screen and controls that stay out of the way while a book is open.

The application is distributed under the MIT licence, which places few conditions on reuse, modification, or redistribution of the source, and makes it a permissive starting point for anyone who wants to build on the reader rather than only use it.
