Über diese Anwendung
Freelens is a desktop application for working with Kubernetes clusters. It presents the objects of a cluster — nodes, pods, deployments, services, config maps, persistent volumes and the rest — through a graphical interface, so that inspecting state and relationships does not require composing command-line queries by hand. The application reads existing kubeconfig files, which means clusters already reachable from the workstation appear without separate configuration.
Day-to-day use centres on navigation and observation: browsing namespaces, opening the manifest of a resource, following container logs, and attaching a terminal to a running pod. Editing is done against the same objects, so changes made in the interface are applied to the cluster rather than to a local copy.
The entry describes the Linux build published by the Freelens Authors under the MIT licence; users on other operating systems should consult the project directly. Freelens is a client, and does nothing on its own without a cluster to connect to.
