Datenschutzorientierte Open-Source-App für den muslimischen Adhan (islamische Gebetszeiten) und die Qibla

Al-Azan is an Android application built around two everyday needs of Muslim users: knowing when each of the five daily prayers falls, and knowing which way to face. The prayer time side of the app produces a schedule for the current day and marks the adhan, the call that announces each prayer. Because these timings are derived from geographic position and calendar date rather than a fixed table, the app works from where the device is located.
The qibla side of the app indicates the direction of the Kaaba relative to the user's position, so it serves as an orientation aid rather than a mapping tool.
Meypod publishes the project and describes it as privacy focused. The source is released under AGPL-3.0-only, a copyleft license that also covers network use, which is worth noting for anyone planning to reuse the code in their own project. The listing covers Android only; there is no desktop, iOS, or browser build recorded here, so this is a phone and tablet application rather than a cross-platform one.
