Forge Sparks

Forge Sparks is a Linux desktop client for notifications from Git forges, the hosting platforms where repositories, issues, and merge or pull requests are kept. Rather than leaving a browser tab open to a notifications page, it fetches the notification stream for the accounts that have been connected and presents the items on the desktop. It is published by Rafael Mardojai CM under the MIT licence.

The scope is narrow by design: this is a companion to a forge, not a Git client. It does not replace the command line, a repository browser, or a code review interface. The record also does not state which forge services are supported, so anyone depending on a particular host should verify that against the project before adopting it.

Linux is the only platform given, so there is no indication of builds for other operating systems. The MIT licence is permissive, allowing reuse and redistribution, including inside proprietary work, provided the copyright notice is retained.
