BleachBit는 원하지 않게 시스템에 쌓이는 파일을 삭제합니다: 브라우저 캐시, cookies, browsing history, thumbnails, package manager 캐시, log files, temporary directories 및 application leftovers입니다. 각 프로그램에서 제거되는 항목은 별도의 정의 파일에 설명되어 있으므로, 다른 application을 포함하려면 코드를 작성하는 대신 정의를 추가하면 됩니다.
Applications는 개별적으로 선택할 수 있는 옵션이 있는 체크리스트에 나타나며, 미리 보기 실행은 무엇이든 건드리기 전에 어떤 경로가 제거될지와 그로 인해 얼마나 많은 공간이 회수될지를 보고합니다. 또한 Firefox 같은 프로그램이 사용하는 SQLite databases를 vacuum하여, 행이 삭제된 뒤 이를 압축합니다.
