BARIA

BARIA, short for Backup And Restore Installed Apps, is an Android utility for copying the applications installed on a device and putting them back later. It works from the list of installed packages, letting you select which ones to save and then restore those copies, for instance when moving to another handset or after resetting the current one.

The scope is application backup rather than general file synchronisation, so it addresses the packages themselves rather than photos, documents, or system configuration. What can be captured in practice depends on the permissions Android grants the app and on the device it runs on, which is worth checking against your own setup before relying on it as the only copy of anything.

The project targets Android only and is released under the GPL-3.0-only licence, meaning the source is available for inspection and redistribution under those conditions.
