AndrOBD SensorProvider

AndrOBD SensorProvider is a plugin for the AndrOBD application on Android. It connects the host device's built-in accelerometer to AndrOBD's data pipeline, making motion and orientation readings available alongside the vehicle diagnostics data that AndrOBD collects over OBD-II. Because it functions as an extension rather than a standalone application, it requires AndrOBD to be installed and will not operate independently.

The plugin reads raw accelerometer values from the Android sensor framework and passes them into AndrOBD as an additional data source. This allows users who are logging or monitoring vehicle data to include device motion measurements in the same session — useful for correlating driving dynamics with engine and transmission readings. No configuration of a separate sensor hardware unit is needed; the plugin relies entirely on the sensors already present in the Android device.
