Battery Notification

Battery Notification puts battery information into the Android notification area so it can be read without opening an application. The intent is a quick glance: the current state of the battery is visible alongside other ongoing notifications, which suits users who check power levels often during the day and do not want to launch a separate screen each time.

Because it works through the notification system, its behaviour is tied to how the installed Android version handles persistent and ongoing notifications. What is shown, and how prominently, depends on the device and on the notification settings the user chooses. The application covers the reporting side of battery use; it does not manage charging or intervene in how other applications consume power.

It is an Android-only release with no desktop equivalent. The source is published by TylerWilliamson under the GPL-3.0-or-later licence.
